Because of My Name

Written by  Yona Levy Grosman

Translated by  Lami Halperin.

Because of my name
They crucified my father,
My mother,
My grandfather
And my great grandfather.

Their blood flows over the rods of injustice and pain became a symbol
And the evil ones justify this to set me on fire.

Because of my name,
They burned me up,
Set my father on fire,
My mother,
My grandfather and grandmother.

The number on my arm and my body mountains of ashes,
Will become symbols
And the evil ones will adopt them
To destroy my sons and my grandsons.

Because of my name.
